About

Me! My name is Ryan Lober and I am a PhD fellow at the Institut des Systèmes Intelligents et de Robotique at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris France where my research looks at how machine learning/artificial intelligence can be combined with robotic controllers to make them more flexible and robust.

As for my education... in 2011, I received my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia USA and in 2013, I got my Master of Science in Robotics and Systems from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers in Paris, France.

I have a passion for all things robotic and mechatronic and in my spare time I love to work on projects ranging from connected devices to mobile robots. Through my job and hobbies I have accumulated a random assortment of skills and knowledge, some of which I have tried to compile on the tutorials page. I hope that by putting pen to paper (in a manner of speaking) I will be able to help others, like myself, kick start their adventures into electromechanical tinkering.
